When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

Media

If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images published on the website.

  • If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last for one year.

  • A temporary cookie is set on the login page to test whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Visitor comments may also be checked through an automated spam detection service.

  • Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely to recognise and approve follow-up comments automatically.

  • For registered users (if applicable), we store the personal information provided in their user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except usernames, which cannot be changed). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.
