At Nelspruit Primary School, our cultural programme is designed to develop critical thinking, creativity, and confidence beyond the classroom. Through structured activities—such as chess, choir, school band, visual arts, poetry, and more—every learner is encouraged to explore talents, develop social skills, and contribute to our values-driven community.
Our junior and senior chess teams compete in inter-school tournaments, helping learners sharpen concentration, logic, and decision-making. Chess fosters respect for rules, personal responsibility, and effective problem-solving.
NPS offers both junior (Gr 1–3) and senior (Gr 4–7) choirs conducted by experienced teachers. Performances at events like Eisteddfod and school productions help learners develop confidence, musicality, and teamwork.
General Cultural activities
From school band and poetry reading to debate, visual arts, choral verse, and more, our cultural activities stimulate creativity, social organisation, and personal growth. These opportunities allow every child to shine in their unique way.
