NETBALL
Netball is a fast-moving game that requires the girls to run around the court, sprinting and changing direction quickly, over time this greatly improves children’s cardiovascular fitness and strength. At Nelspruit Primary netball plays a big role in our culture and history. Netball is a team sport that helps to improve the players team spirit, discipline and socialisation skills. Netball season starts in the 2nd term. We have teams in all age groups 7 up to 13. “Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.” – Helen Keller

ATHLETICS
Students who participate in athletics learn a sense of preparedness for the future. Being an athlete teaches kids that other people depend on them. Students develop the self-discipline, motivation and leadership skills that they will need to succeed in building a purposeful life. Athletics is a sport that gives learners the opportunity to develop their skills in social events. We at NPS are very proud of our World Record holder Benji Richardson. At NPS we strive to be the best we can be.

TENNIS
Coaching vision – we create a safe, fun, developmental environment & opportunities for the children. Mission – to get as many kids involved in playing such an amazing sport as tennis. Allow children to develop through modified tennis such as mini tennis & then advance when ready to a bigger court. Each tennis player will be treated as an individual and helped in accordance with their specific needs. NPS tennis coaches are always improving their skills. We want our children to enjoy tennis for a lifetime, whether they play at a tournament, club, or school level.
